Description of the program:   Anyone who serves food to others, especially those who provide meals to the general public, is encouraged to take this course.   The workers in restaurants, daycare centres, camps, long-term care facilities, special events, etc. will benefit greatly from taking this course, which satisfies legal requirements for food handler training across Canada.
Cost: $120.00
Duration of course: 8 hours, with breaks included

Format of the course Total of 11 modules, with following topics:
Module 1- Legal Requirements
Module 2- Food-borne Illness (FBI)
Module 3- Food Contamination (Sources and Prevention)
Module 4- Basic Microbiology and Factors affecting microbial growth
Module 5- Food Safety Management system
Module 6- Time, Temperature controls for potentially hazardous foods
Module 7- Displaying, Serving/Dispensing and Discarding
Module 8- Facility and Equipment
Module 9- Receiving and Storage
Module 10- Cleaning and Sanitization
Module 11- Personal Hygiene
Language skills, literacy skills, and any other pre-requisites provided to potential and registered students Fluent spoke and written English.   Our course is currently English only. Exam accommodations are available for ESL users.

Refund, or Cancellation policy Cancellation Policy Cancellations are accepted in writing via email only. For a full refund, written cancellations must be received 15 business days prior to the start date of the training. Cancellations received 7 business days prior to the start date of the training are entitled to a 50% refund. Cancellations received less than 7 business days prior to the start date are not entitled to a refund. This policy is due to the high level of customization involved in our trainings, which is based on the number of people that have registered as well as space limitations. Scheduling of training Rescheduling of training is approved based on case-by-case scenario. Minimum Passing Mark   A score of at least 75% on the final exam is necessary to pass the course and receive your certificate.
If you don’t pass the exam Not to worry. The pass rate on the first exam attempt is about 99%. However, a free retest are available should you need it.
Format of the exam   Multiple choice only, total of 50 questions.
What happens if a student is suspected of violating the security of the online exam process Our facilitator monitors test takers for unusual behaviour for the purpose of maintaining exam security and preventing cheating. Those believed to be violating exam rules may be required to retake the exam at their own expense.
