WHMIS Online Training

Canadian law requires that any person exposed to hazardous materials in the workplace must be trained in Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS).

The new Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labelling for Chemicals (GHS), which was implemented in 2015, is covered in this extensive WHMIS 2015 course. Additionally, it includes material from the earlier WHMIS system (WHMIS 1988). Several ” chapters make up this course, which also has a final test. You will receive a certificate of completion (pocket and wall-sized) once you pass your exam.

Course Outline

Classes, Groups, & Categories The many categories of dangers will be covered in the first section of the WHMIS 2015 course. Every piece of information you come across at work or at home is divided into a group, a category, and a class. You will be able to predict the material’s dangers and hazards according to this system of categories. Labels You will learn how to recognise, read, and fully understand a product label in this course. These labels are intended to serve as the initial source of information regarding the risks, safety measures, and recommended usage of a product.

Delivery Method

Pictograms The pictograms found in WHMIS 2015 are covered in the third session of this course. Each of these easily understood graphics offers a quick way to determine what kind of item is contained within the package or vehicle.

Personal Protective Equipment The many types of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) that you might be required to wear while handling or utilising chemicals or materials that are hazardous according to their WHMIS categories are covered in the fifth lesson of this course.

Emergency Planning This WHMIS 2015 course offers a more in-depth examination of the safety part of SDS sheets, fundamental risk prevention, and how to appropriately handle potentially hazardous circumstances. When carrying hazardous products or for yourself, these issues may involve the environment, your workplace, or yourself.
