Standard First Aid & CPR-C Training Overview

This two-day training covers the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and life-saving first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) techniques for adults, children, and infants in the workplace or at home. The curriculum includes the most recent first aid and CPR guidelines and complies with legislative criteria for provincial and territorial worker safety and insurance bodies. Additionally, each student will receive a set of adult and child manikins as well as an AED trainer. During training, there will be no requirement for students to share this equipment.

This course meets Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Workplace First Aid (WFA) standards, but is not recognized by CNESST in the province of Québec.
All participants take a written exam at the end of the course.

AED Operation: How and When
How to activate bystanders (Things we can ask a bystander to do and guide them how to make a call
How to access the scene
How to access the primary emergencies (consciousness of a victim, how to check airway, breathing and circulation)
Choking: A Life-Threatening Emergency for Everyone
How treat primary and secondary emergencies (head-toe examination)
How to tie a bandage in following scenario:
